Teaching

Since I am the product of two teachers, I have always had a passion for education. I entered college with the goal of becoming a physics teacher. My career path was skewed when I was inspired by the application of physics in structural engineering. However, it was not long before my future plans converged back towards education, with the goal of becoming a professor after completing my Ph.D.

During my M.S. studies I was a teaching assistant (TA) for three semester for an introduction structural analysis class. In the Fall of 2012 I earned the Structural Engineering Instructional Fellowship, allowing me to become the full instructor for a steel design course.
